Want to go somewhere else?
We know that you'll have a fantastic time in our three main destinations but why not explore a bit more: Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, China, Russia and more. We can create a wonderful extension to your journey or simply create you a whole bespoke itinerary in a different country.
Travelling to Bhutan? Why not extend your adventure by exploring Nepal; the Kathmandu Valley is an ideal area to acclimatise to the altitude before heading into Bhutan, you may even wish to squeese in an early morning Everest sightseeing flight (weather permitting). Alternatively spend some time in India; explore bustling Dehli, make the iconic journey to the Taj Mahal in Agra, go on tiger safari in Ranthambore National Park, discover the Pink City of Jaipur or journey to the 'Seven Sisters' Northern states to meet the distinct ethic groups of this diverse region.
Heading to Mongolia via China then stop off for a few days in Beijing to take in the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. You might fancy to complete your journey to Mongolia by travelling across the Gobi Desert on the Trans-Mongolia Railway. If you want to explore this fascinating country further, whether it is terracotta warriors in Xian, pandas, a Yangste river cruise or a visit to the limestone karsts of beautiful Guilin and Yangshuo, a hike along the Tiger Leaping Gorge, or the Dragon's Backbone rice terraces of Longsheng, we have travelled extensively through China and would love to share all these places with you.
If the mood takes you we can even transport you into Russia, perhaps to visit Lake Baikal, the deepest lake on the planet that contains 20% of Earth's fresh water.
Finally many of our travellers to Burma are taking the opportunity to take in Laos as part of their journey. Journey by river through this little known land, visit Luang Prabang UNESCO World Hertage Site, the Plain of Jars, take in Vientiane, reputed to be one of the world's quietest capital cities.
For those of you flying in via Thailand, Bangkok, the City of Angels, can keep you busy for days with its temples, markets and amazing street food. If the city feels too much after the calm of Bhutan, Thailand’s beaches are the perfect place to rejuvenate after a high altitude trek, or if you want something different, Thailand’s jungles in its southern national parks offer a real contrast to the mountains of Bhutan. There is so much choice, even if you think that Thailand is now too busy, we can recommend a beach or hotel for most people’s tastes!
