Work for PJ

Panoramic Journeys are always interested to hear from people who would like to join our team. We are especially interested to hear from those with travel industry, film, marketing or design experience who feel that they could bring something to the company.

TRAVEL DESIGNERS / TRAVEL CONSULTANTS

We're on the lookout for new Travel Designers to join our small friendly team.  Our designers do so much more than selling packages or even 'tailor-made' itineraries that someone in the product department put together.  Our designers are immersed in every part of 'journey' creation, choosing the accommodation, working with the DMC to craft the perfect trip, costing it up, presenting that to the guest right through to talking through their feedback after the trip.  It's all encompassing and very rewarding.

Experience selling tours in Asia or working for a tour operator in Asia will be advantageous.

Our offices are in a countryside, village location so your own transport is essential however we do, over time, consider remote-working options for people who can work autonomously.

SALES SUPPORT / TRAINEE TRAVEL DESIGNER

We're on the lookout for a new Trainee Travel Designer and Sales Support Assistant to join our small friendly team.

This role assists the Sales and Operations teams by giving the administrative support required to manage sales, plan trips and ensure client satisfaction from enquiry through to trip completion and feedback. It involves helping the Travel Designers to create client itineraries by producing the documents that they receive and keeping track of their journey with us; making sure that they have the correct visas, that we have their feedback etc. In doing this work you will learn more and more about crafting client trips and about the destinations we travel to.

With the right aptitude this could see you, over time, moving into a Travel Designer role with the opportunity to travel and learn more about our destinations. Our designers do so much more than selling packages or even 'tailor-made' itineraries that someone in the product department put together. Our designers are immersed in every part of 'journey' creation, designing the route and creating new ‘product’, choosing the accommodation, specifying experiences, working with the DMC to craft the perfect trip, costing it up, presenting that to the guest right through to talking through their feedback after the trip.

The most important skills and qualities for this role are good IT skills (especially Powerpoint, Word and Excel), the ability to write well in English, accuracy and attention to detail, as well as a 'can-do' attitude to take on any job as required.

Our offices are in a countryside, village location so your own transport is essential.

Panoramic Journeys is a small yet beautifully formed business that is growing organically. The company evolves in line with the passions of the team. We are always on the look out for positive and dynamic people who would like to be a part of the "Panoramic Journey". No two days are the same when you are working at PJ. We are a team who thrive off our love for our destinations and the knowledge that the journeys that we are designing really change lives. If our workloads were lower it would certainly be the dream job - maybe by filling the posts advertised here we can get to that goal!

Panoramic Journeys' head office is situated in the very scenic Cotswolds, just north of Oxford. We have the best of many worlds because we can walk or ride across fields to work and yet thanks to the local train station, we can be in Oxford or Central London in very little time. Meetings are often conducted in the village pub, brainstorming takes place on country walks and remote working is a reality.

IN OUR MONGOLIA OFFICE

Panoramic Journeys Ltd is able to offer a unique service in Mongolia because through Panoramic Journeys LLC, we arrange all of our own ground arrangements. Both companies are run by directors Karina and James Moreton who believe strongly that if you enjoy your job, you do it well. We are proud of the team of guides, drivers and office staff that we have built up for over a decade. We are always looking for more enthusiastic Mongolians to join our team. Panoramic Journeys demonstrate that a career in tourism has not just great opportunities to travel, but also good career prospects.
