The Naadam Festival is the biggest event of the Mongolian
calendar. It is a celebration of Mongolian culture, where
traditional customs and nomadic behaviour are as much on
show as the wonderful spectacle of the famous games. On
this itinerary we immerse ourselves fully into the infectious
atmosphere of the festivities.
Naadam, which means "games", is celebrated in every
town and village across the country. It features the three
manly sports: wrestling, archery and horse racing. The strongest
wrestlers, fastest horses and most expert marksmen come
together to compete for the title of Champion.
